MicroLaser Peel Details

Our office offers several different micro-laser peel treatments to help your skin appear softer, smoother  and more youthful look.  Age spots,  unwanted blemishes, wrinkles around the eyes and forehead, liver spots, and acne scars can be treated with a micro-laser peel.  Micro-laser peels are performed with an Erbium-YAG laser, the depth of the peel can be customized depending on your treatment goals. With the micro-laser peel, deeper peels can remove scars and treat wrinkles.  The treatment is performed with both topical anesthesia and a surface cooling system to chill the skin treatment zone.  Peels will remove varying amounts of the outer skin layer known as the epidermis, this layer of skin will reform with new skin cells.  As new healthy cells migrate to the surface this will  leave your face with a more youthful look.

Healing times vary depending on the depth of the micro-laser peel.  Superficial peels will heal within 12 hours, deeper peels may take 24-48 hours.  During the healing phase, it is important to avoid direct sun light, you may leave the house with sun screen on or makeup.  A good moisturizer or aquaphor may be placed on the face during the healing phase.  For your safety, all of our laser skin peels are administered only by our licensed plastic surgeons.
